Nearly 75% of Americans want to die at home, yet only 25% of them do. And 56% of people have not communicated their end-of-life wishes.
Too many people are dying in a way they wouldn’t choose, and too many of their loved ones are left feeling bereaved, guilty and uncertain. “Our Wishes Over Dishes” is part of a national movement to bring families together to have a conversation on what our wishes would be at the end of our life – Do you have Advanced Directives? Have you made out a will? Do you want to be buried or cremated?
Work in Harmony Café in Collingswood, NJ is offering the use of their conference room, one night a week from 6pm-8pm, free of charge, for families who want to hold this important meeting with their loved ones in a quiet, neutral environment. In partnership with neighboring restaurants Nunzio’s and Tortilla Press, limited menus will be offered for families to order from and have catered in, so you can enjoy a meal surrounded by loved ones, while having one of the most difficult conversations you can have with them.
Reservations/Questions: email Michelle Polidoro at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 856-869-9600.
Let us help you and help yourself. Let’s make our community strong by participating in this movement to increase awareness of end-of-life choices, while decreasing the burden on families and society.
