Don’t take our word for it… See what our clients and Care Partners say about us!
I am writing as an endorsement for Michael Newell MSN, RN as a private geriatric care manager. Over the years, Mr. Newell and I have shared several clients. With each one, he has demonstrated insight and sensitivity to the complexities of geriatric care. He is well informed on the current practices in Aging and can implement them to support his clients through expected and unfortunate changes that come with chronic and progressive disorders. Mr. Newell is well recognized as an expert in his field and is eagerly sought out by families in need. It is with great confidence that I recommend him to families to create a desired plan of care and as an effective advocate within the bureaucratic institutions that serve the elderly.

I really appreciate the professional and caring advice and assistance LifeSpan Care Management provided my family. You engaged quickly when needed and your expertise was key in enabling me to make timely decisions about my mother’s care. While I was out of the country, you advocated for her in the hospital, attended meetings with the doctors and nurses and also in her transition to a senior living facility. Your communication with me was helpful and I knew that my Mother was in good hands. I would not hesitate to recommend LifeSpan Care Management services to anyone who is seeking medical advocacy for a loved one.

Mike is a career veteran in advanced Modalities and Specialties of Nursing as evidenced by his impressive certifications. This is consistent with his drive to always do the best for the patient and for the patient’s family. He consistently excelled while working in varying capacities in the most prestigious hospitals in Phila. His distinguishing hallmark was and continues to be his ability to quickly identify an additional area needing investigation, attention, or treatment. Without his keen intuition, the patient situation would have escalated perhaps negating or threatening recovery options in the short and/or longer term. Moreover, his synthesis of skills and intuition not only prevented escalation but also minimized risk and invasive diagnostic / treatment plans enabling the patient to enjoy a quicker recovery. Such a combination of skills and approach was especially valuable in Emergency Room and Intensive Care settings. Beyond the emergency or intensive care situation, Mike had been always keeping a holistic viewpoint in mind which takes into consideration the entire patient and the support system involving the family or other services as Mike aims to avoid condition relapse or recidivism.
Given his proactive approach to avoid downstream or resulting issues, Mike, after completing a full career of decades in hands-on Nursing positions, started his own company, LifeSpan to help people and families plan before a crisis and to assist when unplanned situations arise. Having been engaged in all aspects of Health Care such as patient care, insurance reimbursement, regulatory compliance, financial planning, and home safety assessments, etc., Mike is a respected industry subject matter expert on ACA, Medicare Access and Children’s Health Insurance
Program (CHIP) Reauthorization Act (MACRA) & Medicare Payment Reform, and Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) in Health Care, and the implications of the trend towards insurance payment for results versus provision of services. He is a respected author and speaker on the complex and multi-faceted long-term care health planning factors. LifeSpan has been successful in every case they have taken to obtain the best care plan for the patient.
I know no one who is more knowledgeable given his decades of cross-functional experience, and I know no one who is more passionate about providing the best the patient in a most holistic manner to optimize the quality of life for the patient and position the family or support services accordingly.

Michael Newell is a true advocate for medical issues for all of us! His caring, thoughtful disposition and medical knowledge are outstanding! He helped me to understand the benefits of acupuncture and alternative medicine techniques. Michael is passionate in his cause to help others wade through the monster of a healthcare system in our country along with expertise on healthcare with different homeopathic care methods that really worked for me. I recommend him highly for good counsel and care for your health concerns.

I have known Michael Newell founder of LifeSpan Care Management for more than a few years and find him to be extremely experienced and knowledgeable in current best care practices, including drug interactions. He is a frequent lecturer and is a tireless and tough advocate for the patient often attending patient care conferences and doctor visits. When faced with a difficult situation Michael is the person you want to guide you through it. He has a vast knowledge of providers and other experts whom he can call. I highly recommend LifeSpan.

I wanted to share how much I appreciate working with Michael over the years. I often describe him as “the real deal”. What I mean by that is that he is what all senior care experts and advocates should be: highly knowledgeable, experienced, professional, credible, and always learning – keeping up with the endless changes & relentlessly finding ways to help the underdog. To his clients who seek his advice & advocacy – they’re in good hands. He will do whatever it takes to achieve the best outcome. To his colleagues & healthcare professionals, like me, he is the “go to”. We can always trust his expertise, direction and support whether it be for ourselves or our clients. I thank him for all he does and for always being there – a trusted advisor. The real deal.
